Opportunity House

Program

Opportunity House, Inc. is a long-term, structured sober living program located in Hobbs, New Mexico. Since 1996, Opportunity House has provided a safe, substance-free, and accountable living environment for men who are ready to rebuild their lives through sobriety, responsibility, and personal growth.

Our program is designed for men 18 and older who are seeking a stable recovery environment while they work, attend recovery meetings, build healthy routines, and develop the life skills needed for long-term success. Opportunity House offers 12, 18, and 24-month program options, allowing residents the time and structure needed to develop lasting change.

Residents participate in a phased program that emphasizes accountability, employment, recovery participation, personal responsibility, and service to others. Daily structure includes required recovery meetings, morning meditations, house responsibilities, random drug and alcohol testing, classes, one-on-one support, and regular evaluations with program leadership.

Opportunity House is not a detox facility or medical treatment center. Instead, we provide a supportive sober living environment where men can continue their recovery journey while learning how to live sober, maintain employment, manage responsibilities, and become productive members of the community.

Our program includes transportation support, two cooked meals per day, a light lunch, access to directors, recovery-focused classes, financial literacy, relapse prevention, life skills, anger management, and parenting support. Residents are expected to follow program rules, remain substance-free, attend 12-step recovery meetings, work with a sponsor, and actively participate in their recovery.

At Opportunity House, we believe recovery is possible when structure, accountability, faith, service, and community come together. Our goal is to help men build a foundation for a sober, responsible, and meaningful life.
